We believe the doctrines set forth in the early Christian Creeds such as The Apostles Creed and The Nicene Creed believing them to be in accordance with The Holy Scriptures by which we test all things. The Holy Scriptures of The Old and New Testaments are treated as the Supreme Authority which we believe is how Our Lord Jesus Christ treated them.*
We seek to Worship God The Father in Spirit and in Truth and as a Bible Believing Church we believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the only Saviour of the World through His substitutionary sacrifice of himself upon the cross and His glorious resurrection from the dead on the third day. We believe in His soon return in Glory to judge the Living and the Dead and His eternal reign.
We maintain that the Bible is the timeless written Word of God revealing The Word made Flesh in Jesus who has all Authority in Heaven and on Earth given to Him by The Father. Therefore, The Scriptures are reliable in teaching us the Mind and Will of God. Reliable too in teaching us about the origins of the Universe and the destiny and purpose of the Creation.
Our mandate is to witness to the Gospel so that people may hear of the impending judgement and turn in repentance from their sins whilst there is still time to do so, and believe in The Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. This we see as being rightly portrayed in the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. True believers in Jesus will avail themselves of both as Jesus commanded.
We believe in the Deity of The Holy Spirit and His continuing ministry bringing conviction of sin and the new birth and also in His equipping of believers for the building up of The Church of Jesus Christ. The gifts of The Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit are the marks of His presence and work in the believer.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and that believers in Christ are to be in fellowship with each other in the life of The Church using their God given gifts for the edification of the body that together in the unity of the Spirit we may present the Gospel of Jesus before a watching world. We take a complementarian view of the role of the sexes. The female representing the bride of Christ and the male representing Christ as head and protector of his bride. We believe that Ministers and Elders in the Church structure should be male.
Due to the prevalence of replacement Theology in Evangelical Churches we have thought it important to signal our opposition to this in the following statement:- We believe that God is still faithful to His promises to the Jews and according to Romans chapters 9 to 11 and Zechariah they will recognise Yeshua as their Messiah, Redeemer and Lord. Paul describes that moment as “like life from the dead.” We see significance in the reestablishment of the nation of Israel in 1948 and its survival to this day against all the odds; to be direct fulfilment of scriptural prophecy that God would bring His people back onto the mountains of Israel and indeed will also be preparation for the return of The Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory. We believe in the personal visible return of The Lord Jesus to the very spot from where he ascended! Many scriptures point to this. Further the promise to Abraham that God would bless those who bless his descendants and curse (treat with contempt) those who curse them still stands! (Jeremiah Ch 23 5-8, Ch 31v 31-37 Ch 33 v 25-27: Genesis 12 v 3: 15 v 18) There is significance in the phenomenon of rising anti-Semitism and the impending judgement on this earth by The Righteous One. We need to make clear we are not dual covenant and we know “there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” This obviously applies to Jew and Gentile alike.
